A webcam sits atop the window sill within the gallery facing out of the window directed at a streetlight outside of the gallery.

The webcam is connected to a raspberry pi computer that sits hidden behind the gallery wall.

On this computer is a code that registers black or white pixels.
When the majority of pixels within the green square are black the light is “off”. When the majority of pixels are white the light is “on”.

The image of this translation is shown on a monitor sitting opposite the webcam/window.

Installed in the gallery are 2 of the exact same streetlights inside as those used in the city outside. When the streetlights outside of the gallery turn on, the streetlights inside the gallery also turn on.

The viewing hours for this exhibition were adjusted from the galleries original hours, and set from: 12:00 - sunset.
